I am a Southern California resident who has lived in Los Angeles for all of my life. My household consists of fi ve women including myself and my mother. I am a responsible, goal oriented, well rounded student who seeks upward mobility. My dream and aspiration is to become a Social Worker for abused and neglected children. I plan to attend the University of California Berkeley to obtain my Bachelor of the Arts in Social Welfare and then go to Graduate school for Social Work. I was inspired to go to college to help other students reach their full potential. This scholarship will fi nance my studies and take a load off of my shoulders as well as my parents. I will also share my successes with future recipients of this scholarship. I will be forever grateful for this recognition of my academic achievements.
