My name is Samequh Mitchell and I attend Crenshaw High School. My dream career is to become either a corporate or criminal attorney. Ever since I was about 7 years old I used to play at home with my older sibling and pretend I was their lawyer. I always knew that this is what I had a passion for. When I entered high school I knew that I had to work extremely hard to make sure I got into a great college and law school. I didn’t want just a job, I wanted a career and something to wake up to every morning and look forward to. While in high school I became involved in many activities that include Track where I ran the 800 meter (two half mile laps) and softball where my position was left fi eld. In Leadership I hold the elected offi ce of Senior Class President and peer counseling to help students apply to college, fi ll out their FAFSA and register for the SAT and ACT.

I was editor and chief of the yearbook. During SRLA we trained for 7 months for the L.A Marathon. I was also involved in Junior Achievements High School Heroes where you go to local elementary schools and teach a class for half the day. I was Homecoming princess in 9th and 10th grades and served as Homecoming Queen this year which was truly an honor. Within my leadership group we have donated can goods to homeless shelters and raised money for less fortunate families to have a meal on Thanksgiving. We also had a clothing drive at our school and donated clothes to those who are less fortunate. While involved in all of these activities I still managed to maintain a 3.6 GPA and work a part time job at Wingstop, and Which Wich Sandwich Shop from 2012 to present. This has helped me to learn how to manage my time wisely while keeping my education as my number one priority. After high school, I plan to continue my education at either UCLA or San Diego State where I will major in Political Science. Once I have completed my undergraduate studies, attend Loyola Law. I am determined have a career in Law and eventually open my own firm.
