Christerbell Ahaiwe was brought into this amazing world on April 22, 1996 at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Los Angeles. Alongside her was her fraternal twin sister, Christine Ahaiwe. Her parents were born and raised in Nigeria and flew to the United States to seek an enriching life of new opportunities for themselves and their children. They taught her that in order to reach success she must work for it. With this mindset, as a high school senior, she was able to travel to 6 different countries with the Crenshaw Elite Choir, hold the office of Associated Student Body Vice President, and graduate as Valedictorian of the senior class of 2014.
In the fall of 2014, Christerbell will attend the University of California, Irvine. Her major will be in the biological sciences. She chose UC Irvine because of their astounding biology program and the closely located UC Irvine Medical Center. Christerbell plans on pursuing a career as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist and build her practice in the Crenshaw community.
Christerbell would like to thank Parkside for helping to make college a reality by awarding her with this amazing scholarship.
